A bit more about me
I started out as a graphic designer — that's what my degree is in. Long before I wrote a line of code, I was learning about layout, colour, type and how the right design makes people feel.
From there I moved into web development, spending the early years of my career at an agency, learning how to turn designs into real, working websites.
Eventually I set up my own web development agency, which I ran for over ten years — building sites for all sorts of businesses and looking after everything from the first sketch to the finished site.
Somewhere along the way I became fascinated by user interaction — how someone moves from the moment they first land on a page to the point they actually take action. I'm endlessly curious about that journey, and I love smoothing every step from first click to call-to-action.
These days I work for myself, and that brings me to the part I'm most proud of.
